REAL FAITH FOR REAL LIFE

Michael Foss has written a book entitled “Real Faith For Real Life” to help folks flesh out in their own lives the details of regular Prayer, Worship, Reading the Word, Serving, building Relationships of faith, and Giving. The book is divided into 2-3 page sections ~ which works out well for a Lenten discussion format. So here’s the idea: you grab a partner, each purchase the book (@ $14 through Pastor Duval) and read/talk about one section a day in Lent. We’ll also host a small group discussion at 7-8 pm on Wednesday evenings for those who would like some wider input. (And at 8 p.m., we’ll close with “midweek” Lenten worship.) Our conversations are informal and friendly. So even if you’re just wondering about the possibility of participating, come and see. This really does work best with a partner; so begin now to think about who you’d like to experience a PoWeR SuRGe with in your spiritual life. (See Sunday CLIPBOARD signups for the book.)

SPIRITUAL RETREAT  

Last winter, we had our second church spiritual retreat and it was another truly powerful experience. We have already reserved a weekend and you might want to mark your calendar now because we will be limited to 16 participants: Friday-Sunday, March 11-13. The cost will be @ $60/each. Touch base with Pastor if you have any questions ~ and see the picture poster in the entryway to get a sense of our inviting accommodations.
