THANK YOU FROM THE LIPINSKI FAMILY

The family of Frances Lipinski would like to thank everyone for all the visits, and the Christian love, care and support of both Bob and Frances during her two-month hospital stay.

Thank you to all who participated in and helped with the touching Memorial Service. And thank you also to those responsible for the fantastic meal that followed and for the beautiful flowers.

It's a blessing to be able to say that there are too many of you to thank individually. You ALL are a shining example of the true family of God!

                             Very sincerely,

Bob, Lilly, Ken, Cheri and Manda

A VIEW FROM THE PEW-- JANIA EARNEST

Dear Word of Hope,

As you all know, December 19th I took the plunge! I was baptized at 43 years of age. I feel the need to tell each and every one of you how wonderful it is to feel and experience this special event at an older age. Most have been christened or baptized during infancy and have no recollection of it. The experience was very surreal, significant and serene. Wonderfully overwhelming. I myself felt renewed, refreshed and most of all loved, and the feeling of the Holy Spirit running through every vein in my body. There isn’t any other feeling that matches that, the Glory of God, the revelation. I feel like a caterpillar that has turned into a butterfly.

When I think of who has inspired me the most, not only my family comes to mind but so many names and faces. You all know who you are. From those who gave a simple handshake and hello, to those I sat with each week in friendly meetings. You all helped me to realize that God is here for me. Thank you! You all are a  group class of people. With your kind words and encouragement I feel like I belong and have a new family.

I have learned so much in the short time I’ve been a member of Word of Hope, and now have a yearning to learn more. Through God’s love and patience, I know in time that I will give back what He has given me.

To Pastor Duval, no words can express how thankful I am to you! Keep doing what you’re doing. I have never met anyone like you. You are a true servant of our Lord. You have a special gift from Him and the Holy Spirit radiates through you. Thank you for being there for me.

To Glenda, you are a special sister! You started all of this with six simple words “I gave it all to God.” This opened my eyes and my heart to live a more fulfilling life, and has helped me discover what I was missing. Thank you for your help and support. You’re not only a wonderful sister, you are my best and closest friend.

A special thank you goes to God! Because if it wasn’t for Him, I would not have met all of you. I feel whole now and He has given me what my life was missing all these years. Respect for myself, faith, hope, patience, love and best of all peace. Thanks be to God for I belong for Him.

                With Deepest Sincerity and Love,

                Jania Earnest

February BIO

We would like to introduce you to Frank and Barbara Adams. Frank is from West Chester, Pennsylvania, and Barbara is from Richmond, Virginia, but they call Lexington their home. This fun couple will be married 41 years in April!

Being Lutherans, one Sunday they decided to pop in and check out this church. So for five years now they have enjoyed Word of Hope's friendly, quaint and causal atmosphere. Barbara has been a huge help with assembling our mass paperwork, like these monthly newsletters and our Sunday Celebrates.

Their future dream is to travel to the northeastern states to see Maine, Vermont, New England and a few others, and meet other folks who travel. Back in the 70's they were in a Winnebago Club. Their 15-minute “Claim to Fame” was back then, while traveling with their family, they were all asked to be Stand Ins in a movie called "Race with the Devil" with Peter Fonda and Loretta Swit!

Barbara loves puzzles, crocheting and is an avid reader. Frank enjoys playing games on his computer and surfing the Internet. Together they love to watch Kentucky Wildcat Basketball.

Glad to meet you Frank and Barbara!
